本日11時に，本校正面玄関前での掲示と本校公式HP上で合格者発表が行われました。
合格した中学生のみなさん，おめでとうございます。
午後からは，本校体育館でさっそく合格者集合が実施されました。
学校生活全般について各担当者から説明がありました。
新１年生の皆さん，４月から一緒に学べることを楽しみにしています。

１・２年スタディーサポート実施
高校入試に伴い，１週間の自宅学習期間を終え，
１・２年生は今日から登校です。
前日までも部活動や自学のために，
学校に来ている生徒さんはいましたが，
クラスメイトが揃うのは１週間ぶりとなります。
そんな本日，
「スタディーサポート」の国語・数学・英語の試験がありました。
１・２年生ともに，現時点での自分の国語・数学・英語の力試しです。
「学習スタイル」を合格にのせるためにも大切な試験です。
１年生は，学習スタイル定着ステージ
２年生は，希望進路実現ステージ
にいる最中です。
振り返りをしっかりと行い，今後に活かしましょう！

マーク先生のコーナー: ホームタウンスポットライト: オハイオ州シンシナティ市 / Hometown Spotlight: Cincinnati, Ohio
アメリカのいろいろな場所に住んできましたが、今日はそのうちのひとつを紹介したいと思います！私がかつて暮らした町のひとつについて楽しんで学んでもらえたら嬉しいです。I have lived in many different places in America, and today I would like to share one of them with you! I hope you enjoy learning about one of the multiple towns I called home in America.
オハイオ州のシンシナティは、オハイオ州南部にある活気ある都市です。「クイーン・シティ」とも呼ばれ、その美しさ、繁栄からこの名がつけられました。また、1800年代には西部最大の内陸都市だったことも由来の一つです。これを記念して、市内のある建物の頂上にはティアラが飾られています。シンシナティには多くの観光名所があり、その一つがパープル・ピープル・ブリッジです。この橋は歩行者専用で、アートイベントなどが開催されることもあります。
Cincinnati, Ohio is a vibrant city located in southern Ohio. Often referred to as the "Queen City," because of its beauty, growth, prosperity, and because it was the largest inland city in the West in the 1800s. To celebrate this, one of the city`s buildings has a tiara atop it. It has many attractions like the Purple People Bridge for art events and foot traffic.
シンシナティには2つの名物があります。1つ目はグレーターズ・アイスクリームで、中でもブラックラズベリー・チョコレートチップが一番人気のフレーバーです。2つ目はシンシナティ・スタイルのチリで、シナモンやチョコレート、その他のスパイスが入っているのが特徴です。ホットドッグやパスタにチーズをのせて食べるのが一番美味しいと言われています。Cincinnati has two specialties. The first is Graeter's Ice Cream. The most popular flavor is Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip! As well as Cincinnati-style chili with cinnamon, chocolate, and other spices. Its best served over hot dogs or pasta with cheese.
シンシナティには、プロのアメリカンフットボールチーム「ベンガルズ」と、プロの野球チーム「レッズ」があります。市民は熱心に応援し、試合はとても盛り上がります。Cincinnati is home to a professional american football team known as The Bengals and a professional baseball team called The Reds. The people of the city enthusiastically cheer on their teams, it makes for an exciting game to watch.
四季があり、夏は暑く、冬は凍えるほど寒いです、年間平均気温は、最低気温が-5℃、最高気温が32℃です。鹿児島とは大違いです! It has four seasons, with hot summers, freezing winters, and lots of snow and ice. It has an average annual low temperature of -5℃ and a high of 32℃. It is very different from Kagoshima!
シンシナティは芸術にあふれた創造的な街です。市内にはシンシナティ美術館があり、世界中の素晴らしい美術作品が何千点も展示されています。また、街を歩くだけで、大きくて見ごたえのあるアート作品を無料で楽しむこともできます。 Cincinnati is an artsy city with a lot of creative energy. It hosts the Cincinnati Museum, which has thousands of amazing artworks from around the world. You can also see incredibly large pieces of art for free when you walk around the city.
日本と同じように、シンシナティの人々も祭りで花火を楽しむのが大好きです。夏に,シンシナティリバーフェストは、大規模な祭りで、多くの屋台や有名人の出演、そして豪華な花火が見どころです。実は、アメリカ中西部で最大の花火大会であり、毎年約50万人が訪れ、2,500隻ものボートが川に集まります。とても美しい光景なので、一生に一度は見る価値がありますよ！Much like in Japan, the city loves a good firework show with a festival. Cincinnati Riverfest is a large festival in the summer with many food stalls, celebrity appearances, and fireworks. Actually, it is the largest firework show in the American midwest. Around 500,000 people come and 2,500 boats fill the river to see the fireworks. Its quite a beautiful spectacle and is worth seeing in your lifetime!

Please come and see the city sometime, it really is a wonderful place to see some unique American culture! Cincinnati is a wonderful city, but it’s not the only place I’ve lived. 第７７回卒業式
３月３日（月），第７７回卒業式が行われました。
担任により卒業生一人ひとりの名前が読み上げられ，その後，クラス代表生徒に卒業証書が授与されました。
その後は，学校長式辞，県教育委員会告示，PTA会長祝辞が続き，卒業生へはなむけの言葉が贈られました。
在校生送辞では生徒会長から感謝と激励の言葉があり，
卒業生送辞では，３年間の思い，保護者への感謝，同級生へのことばなどを堂々と話をしていて，私も胸にくるものがありました。

式後，３年生の各教室でLHRが行われ，卒業証書が一人ひとりに手渡されました。
３年生の皆さん，ご卒業本当におめでとうございます。皆さんのこれからの活躍を，心からお祈り申し上げます。
マーク先生のコーナー: 卒業生からのアドバイス：高校生活を最大限に楽しむ方法 / Alumni Advice: Maximizing your High School Experience
高校生活は、誰にとっても特別な時間です。新しい友達と出会い、部活動に参加し、仲間と一緒に思い出を作ります。しかし、「あの時、こうすればよかった」と後から思うこともあるかもしれません。そこで、志布志高校の卒業生に「大学に進学する前に知っておきたかったこと」を聞いてみました。
熊本大学の教育学部の学生は、こんなことを教えてくれました:
「結果には満足していますが、高校生のうちに大学や教授のことをもっとよく知っておけばよかったと思います！テストや資格も大切ですが、自分が学びたいことをはっきりさせておけば、後悔しない選択ができると思います。それに、進学してからの新しい生活や友達作りについて、そんなに心配しなくても大丈夫でした！実際にうまくやっていけましたし、部活やアルバイト、何かのコミュニティに参加するのも良いと思います！」
鹿児島大学に進学した2024年卒業生の2人は、こう話してくれました:
「大学に行く前に知っておきたかったことは、もっと広い視野を持つことです。高校生活では見えなかったことが、大学ではたくさん見えるようになりました。授業以外のイベントや活動にも積極的に参加していたら、もっとたくさんの思い出を作れたかもしれません。大学では鹿児島出身の人だけでなく、九州各地やほかの地域から来た学生ともつながることができるので、いろいろな人とたくさん会話をして交流を深める経験さしておくと良いと思います。」
高校生活は、自分を成長させ、未来に向けて準備をする大切な時間です。今の時間を大切にして、たくさんの経験を積んでください。今作る思い出が、大学生活やその先の人生を形作る大切な一部になります。変化を楽しみ、新しいことを学ぶことを恐れず、思い切り志布志高校での高校生活を満喫してください！
Being in high school is a special time in everyone's life. You meet new friends, join clubs, and make everlasting memories with your peers. But sometimes people wish they could have done some things differently with the power of hindsight. I decided to contact some Shibushi High School alumni and asked them what they wish they knew before heading onto university.
A Kumamoto University student, who's now an Education major, had this to share:
“I was happy with the outcome, but I wish I had got to know the school and its faculty a little better during high school! Tests and certifications are of course important, but if you are clear about what you want to learn, I think you will make a choice you will not regret! I also wish I knew that I didn't have to worry too much about making friends and building a new life after deciding to go to school, but I actually managed to do well! I think it's a good idea to join a club, a part-time job, or some other community!”
A pair of students from the class of 2024, now studying at Kagoshima University said:
“What I wish I had known before I went to college was to have a broader perspective. I was able to see things in college that I could not see in my normal life in high school. I think I would have gained a lot more memories by participating in various events and activities beyond just classes. In addition to Kagoshima natives, you will make relationships with a lot of students from Kyushu and other regions, so it is good to have a lot of conversations and communicate with many people.”
High school is a moment for learning, exploration, and preparation for your future. Be sure to make the most out of this chapter in life. The memories you make now will be a piece in shaping who you are in university and beyond! Enjoy yourself, embrace change, and never be afraid to not know something. So, please take all this advice to heart and have a great time here!

OB講演会
2月21日(金)、宮崎大学医学部医学科教授の天野正宏先生をお招きし、OB講演会が行われました。
医学は文系的素養も必要だということ、「大学入学はゴールじゃない」と思って先を見据えて努力することなどお話しいただきました。
特に医学系を目指す生徒は非常に参考になったようです。ありがとうございました。
